Bionic Contact Lenses

Is bionic vision in your future? It might be if engineers can perfect a contact lens filed with electronics. As this sciencentral News report explains, engineers have demonstrated how to put electronics inside a contact lens.

    night/infrared/thermal vision, binoculars, projector out of your eye, and photographic memory. the power source could come from solar on the contact or from ATP energy from mitochondria i saw. the processor could be powerd seperately because its wireless. think of the apps like vertual reality and you could pritty much controle any electrical device. in this information age i think we are on the brink of something evolutionary.

    These’ll be out within the next couple years, for military contracts at least. This is a lot simpler than prosthetic/bionic eye implants themselves, and those are planned to be brought out by 2020.
